Product Marketing Manager at Swivel in San Francisco, CA

Swivel is a website for sharing charts and numbers. We're pioneering an industry and are looking for a top notch marketer to join us in the adventure.

About Swivel

You

  • Have nailed the basics: you're an amazing writer, love doing market research, are great at product messaging and positioning, and have a sweet visual aesthetic.
  • Are a seasoned (>3 years experience) web marketer. You're comfortable doing SEM, SEO, social media marketing, blogging, and building communities.
  • Realize that success on the web is all about turning visitors into evangelists. You watch your net promoter score like a hawk. You know how to turn consumers into content producers.
  • Are entrepreneurial.  You will be our first and only marketer.  You need to be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and finding your own direction.
  • Have a passion for data.  You measure the impact of your campaigns by conversions, not compliments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive demand.  Get leads to visit http://www.swivel.com/ and convert to trial accounts.  Manage a substantial search engine marketing budget.  Conceptualize and execute viral marketing campaigns.
  • Lead outgoing communication to customers.  This includes maintaining our blog, our twitter account, and our customer forums, and our community.
  • Maintain our tone and style guide.  Check that customer-facing copy is consistent and coherent.
  • Wear many hats: file bugs, brainstorm features, find data, interview customers, talk to journalists, develop business relations, write job descriptions.

Full time in downtown San Francisco, CA. No contractors, no telecommuters.
